Stumbled On: Not so Exclusive anymore Kid Cudi Sneak Peak of "Day N Nite"

I literally just received the text on my phone saying that Miss Jessica over at LooseNeck had some EXCLUSIVE photo's of Kid Cudi's video shoot in LA for "Day N Nite". Well they are not so exclusive any more because I just posted them here. However, I want to say something. What is the point of a sneak peak to Music Videos anyway? That is some stupid shit. Why do I honestly need a 1 minute snippet of something that is 4 minutes and cannot be THAT groundbreaking anyway. What is the last really crazy Music video you saw? I do not need a sneak peak for that nonsense.

"Jeez guys. I cannot wait to watch the Day n Nite video so I have been looping this sneak peak instead"

Btw. Someone keyed my damn car this morning.

Stumbled On: Kanye West - Def Poetry

The poetry is dope. I am digging the haircut too. Drea has been trying to get me to watch those Def Poetry things for months now...but I am hood as hell and a women cannot tell me nuffin!

*I do not need a month, I make black history everyday!*

Snatched this from Marcus Troy

New Video: Silent Knight - Pop Culture Shock

Great idea for a video of a song named "Pop Culture Shock". Three dudes...a Hipster...a Gangster...and a bum. That was a joke. I saw this dude live at the show I kind of hosted at the Knitting Factory a few weeks back. O yes, that short dude in the first slide that was a little cameo? He is nice. His name is Kon and he is from Queens.

Regardless...the video stays true to that same theme all throughout...it is worth the watch though.

New Album: Fashawn - Higher Learning

Download HERE

Fashawns new album just came out. It was presented by Jacques Morel.com OnSmash and Nah Right. The album itself is probably dope since I am into Fashawn 100% and I do not hesitate to say so. Now, of course I will post my review by tomorrow during the day...but it is Christmas so everyone will read it because family life has completely deteriorated.

I want to say something though...the Fashawn version of "Day N Nite" is better than Jimmys. If you want me to up it...drop a comment!

I am one of the first to leak this...so get on it now!

New Music: Dj Concept - It's Grover

It is late. I am completely sober...I listened to that Mims Song over 20x. And I am posting Dj Concept for the 5th straight night in a row. SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU SEND ME GOOD MUSIC? AND NOT CRAP. Ugh. Email me. JacquesMorel08@gmail.com

Regardless. Relax to the sounds from Grover Washington JR. And make sure you say thank you in the comment box.

Seriously. I check my emails!

New Video: B.O.B - "I'll Be In The Sky"

B.o.B "I'll Be in the Sky" UNPLUGGED from TJ Chapman on Vimeo.

Fuck it, I am cursing all night tonight. No more Mr. Nice Blogger. It is the day before Christmas and tomorrow I have to deal with over 10k raging white people looking for the fucking Nintendo Wii. I am going to get 3 hours of sleep and I do not even care Anyway...lets get this started.

My dad was actually vibing to this song the other day. Doing that little dance of his. He asked me for his MySpace and I forgot what happened with that. The song is such a feel good song it is almost rediculous. I snatched this from Eskay and he said it was ill. So yea...why the fuck not? Shit.

O yes, another thing that is great...Live bands with rap shows...fantastic.

New Music: Mims - "Move If You Wanna"

The new Mims is crazy. No one come up in here and try and tell me different because I do not give a flying fuck. Yes I am cursing. Shit. I was driving home from a hard day of work at GameStop and I just started bopping to this song. It goes hard in the car. I am going to say it now. I am going to say it fucking loud and clear.

This new Mims song will be the new "A fucking Millie"

Have you heard that beat with 2 12" subs in your trunk? O, you are not on that yet. But regardless...I mean...his flow is just crazy too.

The lyrics are ehh but I am striking this out so I do not contradict myself

O yes, shout outs to all of my twitter people who helped me with finding this song. Thanks mah dudes!

New Video: Teriyaki Boys Feat Pharrell & Chris Brown - Work That

A few things about this video.

  • How classic is the current screen cap?
  • Pharrell probably charged a couple hundred k for this mediocre beat.
  • They barely speak any English...and it is not even kind of listenable.
  • I mean the video was entertaining...watching girls that suffer from Nassatal syndrom (I definately spelt syndrome wrong) was pretty fun.
  • I hope blogging takes me some where I can charge a couple hundred K for mediocre writing like this.

Stumbled On: M-Phazes Making A Beat

This is a video my boy Matt Diamond sent over to me today. It is him making a beat at Diamonds house...While watching the video...Diamond says..."that is top secret". hmm...what is top secret?

On another note...Phazes production is absolutely dope.

On another another note, I put Phazes on with a girl at the B.A.R.S show... DO NOT LET HIM TELL YOU OTHERWISE.

New Music: J Cole - "Dead Presidents"

Being an extremely white black kid, I go to an extremely Urban Barbershop. Now as we banter about rap, women, and schemes to make money, like a normal barbershop, every now and then they try and put me on to rappers. Normally I do not like anyone they put me on with. Why? becasue we have a different taste in rappers. Nothing special. They like gutta gutta I like finesse.

"Cheat me on my scrilla, and I'll send you to meet Dilla"

Now, this one rapper they put me on too, J Cole...is absolutely dope. They sent me in my car with a sampler and I stole the damn ting. I do not let many Cd's chill in my car. I am very picky with the music I listen too. This dudes flow is almost unmatched currently.

"The first mill I am blowin that"

Enough of this dick riding. Check the song...then check his MySpace...then comment with your damn opinion. Actually...google him my internet is fuxing up

"Talkin violence out yo mouth, and you gon' find how I'm about"

Stumbled On: Jay Electronica Talkin to Nas before a show..

No Matter Hoooow Hard you try you can't stop me noooooow! from Jay Electronica on Vimeo.
Currently I am rocking to some Jay Electronica. Normally I do not post videos of rappers talking with each other, but I just thought it was cool to see Nas go out and rock a show like that. With all of the white arms going crazy for the song about Niggers.

Nas is actually my favorite rapper who my Zune has been severely neglecting. I have been neglecting all the greats actually...it has deteriorated into me just listening to Internet rap and underground...

Would You Hit?: #10 on the Top 10 Video Women List Buffie the Body

I am not one for posting partially nude pictures of women on my blog...that is a terrible lie. But coming in at #10 in my Video Women Top 10, is Buffie the Body. Buffie the Body looks like a dog. You and I know that. She is not really attractive in anyway besides that thing that looks like Jupiter we call a fat ass. Now, personally, I am a not that much of a fan of butts I am more of a looks person for one but I guess she deserved to be on here anyway. Bah.

Stumbled On: Whopper Virgins

This has nothing to do with rap, but I think that it should be watched. It shows how our culture has cultivated to the point where we can travel around the world and stil find new things. Years ago, this would not have been possible.

And it shows how Burger King's Ad people shit all over McDonalds

New Music: Dj Concept - Legendary Blues Music

It is late. I am up again for reasons that I cannot even explain to you. Now, since it is late, I must follow tradition. Dj Concept is up at night with these ILL blues mixes that will surely get you to sleep or just get you through the night. I never hesitate to throw my support and my extremely valuable opinion above others, so this is something that you should definitely listen too. I mean, if Andrea and Cella are listening...than you should too.

Muddy Waters - Rollin’ Stone
Robert Marshall - Six Three 0
Memphis Slim - Mother Earth
Chuck Berry - Mabellene
Bo Diddley - Bo Diddley
Howlin’ Wolf - Moanin’ At Midnight
Dale Hawkins - Suzie Q
TV Slim - Flat Foot Sam
Bo Diddley - Gunslinger
Willie Dixon - 29 Days
Koko Taylor - Tease Your Man
Jimmy Ruffin - Tell Me What You Want
The Rolling Stones - 2120 South Michigan Avenue
Chuck Berry - School Day
JB Lenoir - Don’t Touch My Head
Jump Jackson & His Orchestra - Hey Pretty Mama
Andrew Tibbs - Bilbo Is Dead
Etta James - At Last
Muddy Waters - Rock Me
Shoeshine Johnny - So Glad I Found You

New Music: CurT@!n$ - Yes Yes Ya'll

A few things...

  • I am not a fan of female rappers (Except Nina B who is "dopington" and my girl Jean Grae)
  • So cut her out of it.
  • It is a club track so I guess I have to rate it in that way...but why does an underground artist need a hype track anyway?  They are not expected to go platinum
  • Sometimes I feel like no one listens to me...or my damn reviews.  I am always right! When they understand that life will be better.
  • The song itself is alright...nothing lyrics wise...but I feel as if I was more excited about tha video he sent me last week.
  • Bah.  Too tired.

New Music: Adebisi - Cadillac Music

  • A few things about this song.
  • The beat sounds as if it was made in FruitLoops
  • I think his vocals need to be a tad higher...kill the engineer that mixed that down!
  • The lyrics were sub-par...I have a very fine tuned Rass Kass ear for that.  Not something I was a fan of
  • The flow on the song, however, was not that bad...but the beat drowned that out.  Not only that it just became a task to listen to those damn trumpets.  I guess not?

New Music: Donny Goines - "Ricky's Song"

Donny Goines "Ricky's Story" Dir: Mills Miller from MillsMillerMedia on Vimeo.

I am about to run...because I have to get some Christmas shopping done..the song itself is dope as hell...but I just want to say....
"Ricky" looks like Waldo from the Family Matters

New Music: Rockstar Feat Maxx -Lol, I forgot the name already

I had to bump some Jay Electronica HARD to get this dribble out of my mind. Honestly, the song is so bad it is worth the download. With terrible lyrics...a flow that does not even make sense, and Maxx's voice sounds like a drunk chipmunk...it makes for a great song to just listen to.

Now please, do not come up in my blog saying I do not know what I am saying... My opinion matters 10x more than yours. Get on my level.

When people send me bad emails with BAD music...what do you expect happens to them? Shooot.

This song is so bad it is-call-your-friend-and-laugh-together-on-the-phone-bad.

Its The Real: Wreckz N Effectmas

It is Monday. So of course it is time for Its The Real. Um, this is WrecksnEffectmas...which was was not that funny was absolutely amazing. I have never seen something as good as this video except the other videos were funnier but you do not see me complaining.

I am going to play Prince of Persia...and this Rockstar song I am supposed to be reviewing...is trash.

New Music: Kanye West - Flute Flow

It has been a solid 3-4 months since I have heard Kanye West legitimately rap. The hilarious part was how good it sounded. I creeped this off of 2DopeBoyz and it sounds as if it was his demo...actually...Does anyone HAVE Kanye West's demo? I'd love to post the thing.

Now, now now, I did not really review the thing because it is 330 and I actually want to just crap out. So yea. Bare with me please.

New Music: Dj Concept - Night Series

This is for my late night blog readers. Its late. I know. No one is reading these posts tonight. It is completely understandable. However, I have to appease the people that are reading this. This is for someone sit back and just kick it too. This is what Dj Concept said,

"W.E.X.E. VOLUMES 1, 2 & 3 - Connex List Magazine Review - Volume 26"
I've said it time and time again… Nothing beats "feel-good music". Any given night in Manhattan you can find a small lounge downtown that specializes in a Soul, Funk, Jazz fusion of HipHop. DJ Concept has put together a funky collection of instrumentals, rare grooves and soulful smoke-out vibes into a double volume of goodness. W.E.X.E. is an hour-long unwinding of one's soul. Always known to follow his own path, DJ Concept draws another simple blueprint of what goes on in the lounge areas of NYC's best buddah spots. Most of these smoke-filled funk tracks have been sampled by the greats like Pete Rock, Dr. Dre, Rza, DJ Premier and so many more. Grab a pack smokes, a fine strong drink, a beautiful girl and sit back and see if you can figure out who sampled what.

I posted the other parts other nights but I am just too lazy to go and trackback to them.

New Music: Wale - Chillin

It is 3AM, my day was absolutely retarded, and I am watching an interview with Tom Cruise on Sportscenter. Magnificent.

You and I know that I do not like Wale. I do not digg his flow, and I do not digg his sound. Something that is unique to me amongst the masses that obsess over him. However, I was feeling this song a little bit...But I will say first and foremost that that beat is damn annoying.

The beat itself is using that "Na-Na-Na" sample (my sample game is rough). However it pics back up with pianos through the end of his first beat.

Wale's verse is complete fire and may have activated my psyche to search this dude up.  Each verse comes in and moves with the beat properly.  The flow is outstanding and he is even kind of witty with the lines.

Damn, I renigged.

This is coming off of his debut album.
